On the Thames, opposite the palace
Thames Ditton is one of the prettiest villages in our area: a High Street that runs down to the river, Giggs Hill Green with its cricket ground, and Hampton Court Palace just across Hampton Court Bridge. It's in Surrey, in the borough of Elmbridge, but it's only around three miles from our base in Tolworth.
Hampton Court and the bridge
Hampton Court Palace brings visitors all year, with extra crowds for its flower show and summer events. Hampton Court Bridge is the main crossing, and when the palace is busy the roads around it can slow right down. When we plan a pickup from Thames Ditton on an event day, especially for a flight, we allow for this. If you're visiting the palace yourself, we'll drop you as close as the traffic allows and collect you at an agreed time.
Evenings in the village
Thames Ditton's riverside pubs and restaurants are popular in summer. If you're heading out, book your ride home in advance for the time you expect to leave. It's the easiest way to get home without a wait, whether you're going back to the village or travelling on to Surbiton or Kingston.
Thames Ditton station
Thames Ditton station sits on the short Hampton Court branch, with trains to Waterloo via Surbiton. For quicker journeys into London, many residents are dropped at Surbiton instead, and we're often booked for exactly that.
Weddings and celebrations
With the palace and several riverside venues nearby, Thames Ditton sees plenty of weddings and celebrations. Our chauffeur service provides executive cars for the couple and guests, and our hotel transfers get visiting family between hotels and the venue.
