Thames Ditton Taxis for the Village, the Palace and Beyond
Thames Ditton taxis serve one of the prettiest villages in Surrey, and also one of the busiest in summer. Thames Ditton sits on the Thames in the borough of Elmbridge, with a High Street that runs down to the river, cottages, old pubs, and Hampton Court Palace a short drive away across the bridge. It’s a lovely place to live and to visit, but it can be tricky to get around. The branch-line trains are slow, parking near the river fills up on warm evenings, and palace events can clog the roads for hours. Our cars make all of that simpler. We collect from every street in KT7, take you wherever you need to go, and quote a fixed fare before you travel. Day or night, a real person answers when you call 020 3621 6402.
Thames Ditton Taxis Around the Village and Giggs Hill Green
Thames Ditton has two distinct halves. Our Thames Ditton taxis know both and the best places to stop in each.
The High Street Down to the River
The old High Street winds down towards the Thames, lined with cottages, independent shops and historic pubs. It’s narrow, and parking is limited, so tell us where you’ll be waiting. Your driver will pull in at a safe spot nearby rather than blocking the road.
Giggs Hill Green and the Portsmouth Road
Up the hill, Giggs Hill Green sits beside the Portsmouth Road, with its well-known cricket ground. The roads around it are busier and easier for pickups, so it’s often the quickest place to meet your car.
Thames Ditton Cabs to Hampton Court Palace
How far is Hampton Court Palace from Thames Ditton? About two miles by road, usually a five to ten minute drive across Hampton Court Bridge. The palace draws visitors all year, and our Thames Ditton cabs take people there for days out, guided tours and evening events. We’ll drop you as close to the entrance as traffic allows and collect you at an agreed time.
Flower Show and Summer Event Days
The palace hosts a famous flower show and outdoor events through the summer. On those days, the roads around Hampton Court Bridge slow right down. Book early, and we’ll plan your journey around the busiest times.
Pickups When the Bridge Is Busy
When the bridge is jammed, getting home can take longer than the event itself. We’ll agree a pickup point away from the crowds, so you walk a few minutes to your car rather than waiting in a queue of traffic.
Thames Ditton Station Taxi and Faster Trains via Surbiton
Which station should you use from Thames Ditton? Thames Ditton station sits on the short Hampton Court branch, with trains to Waterloo via Surbiton. It’s handy, but slow. For quicker journeys into London, many residents book a station taxi to Surbiton instead, where fast trains reach Waterloo in under 20 minutes.
Morning Drop-Offs at Surbiton
Commuting every day? Set up a regular morning booking, and your car will be outside at the same time each day. It’s a short drive, and it can save you a lot of time on the train.
Thames Ditton Minicabs for Riverside Evenings
Thames Ditton’s riverside pubs and restaurants are packed on summer evenings. Driving there means hunting for a space and deciding who stays sober. Our Thames Ditton minicabs take both problems away.
Booking Your Ride Home in Advance
Heading out for the evening? Book your ride home for the time you expect to leave. It’s the easiest way to get home without a wait, whether you’re staying in the village or travelling on to Surbiton or Kingston.
Chauffeur Cars and Hotel Transfers for Weddings
With the palace and several riverside venues nearby, Thames Ditton sees plenty of weddings and celebrations. Getting everyone to the right place on time takes planning, and that’s what we do.
Executive Cars for the Couple
Our chauffeur service provides executive cars for the bride, groom and close family. It’s smart, comfortable and on time, so the day starts the way it should.
Guest Transfers Between Hotels and Venues
Visiting family often stay in hotels nearby. Our hotel transfers take guests between their hotels, the ceremony and the reception. Tell us the timings, and we’ll arrange the cars so nobody misses a moment.
Thames Ditton Airport Transfers to Heathrow and Gatwick

Allowing for Event-Day Traffic Before a Flight
Flying on a palace event day? The route to Heathrow often passes Hampton Court, so traffic can build. Tell us your flight time, and we’ll add extra margin to your pickup, so a busy bridge doesn’t cost you your flight.
