The original Malden
Long before New Malden grew up around its railway station, Old Malden was a village beside the Hogsmill River. Its parish church of St John the Baptist still stands on the hill above the river. Today it's a quiet residential area of family homes and green riverside walks, sitting right next to Tolworth.
One stop from Tolworth
Malden Manor station, on the Chessington branch line, is just one stop from Tolworth. The trains run to Waterloo, but they're stopping services and not especially frequent, so many residents book a car instead when they have a train or flight to catch. The short hop to Surbiton for faster trains is a common booking.
Short-notice journeys
Because Old Malden is so close to our base, it's one of the easiest areas for us to cover when plans change at short notice. That could be a last-minute GP appointment, a trip to Kingston Hospital or a lift home when the weather turns. We always recommend booking ahead for airport runs, but for local trips a call is often all it takes.
Trips with the dog
