Race days at Sandown Park
Sandown Park Racecourse is Esher's best-known landmark, hosting horse racing through the year as well as concerts and events. On race days the roads around the course fill up quickly before the first race and again after the last. If you're going racing, the best advice we can give is to book both directions in advance. Agree a pickup point for the return, and your driver will be waiting rather than stuck in the queue of people trying to find a car.
For a special day, our chauffeur service adds an executive car to the occasion.
Eating out on the High Street
Esher High Street and the old Portsmouth Road have a good mix of restaurants and bars, and plenty of our Esher bookings are simply dinner and a ride home. Pre-book your return for the time you expect to leave, especially on Friday and Saturday evenings.
Claremont and around
Claremont Landscape Garden, run by the National Trust, sits on the southern edge of the town, next to Claremont Fan Court School. We drive visitors to the garden and families on the school run. Regular school journeys can be set up as repeat bookings on our school runs page.
Esher station
Esher station, right beside Sandown Park, has South Western Railway services to Waterloo. For quicker London journeys, some passengers prefer Surbiton with its fast trains, which is about fifteen minutes' drive.
Flying from Esher
Esher is well placed for both main airports. Heathrow and Gatwick are each usually within an hour, via the A3 and M25. Many of our Esher passengers choose an executive car for business flights. See our airport transfers page for journey times to all five London airports.
