Straight down the A243
Chessington starts just south of the Tolworth roundabout, so it's one of the quickest areas for us to reach. We cover the whole of KT9: the estates around Chessington North station, the roads near Chessington South and the end of the line, and the homes out towards the Epsom border and Horton Country Park.
Visiting Chessington World of Adventures
Chessington World of Adventures Resort, with its rides, zoo and on-site hotels, draws visitors from all over the south-east. If you're arriving from a London station or an airport, a car will take you straight to the resort entrance or your hotel, bags and all.
A few tips from our drivers:
- In school holidays and on summer weekends, traffic backs up on the A243 as the park opens. An early pickup avoids the worst of it.
- Book your return journey before you go in. When the park closes, lots of people leave at once, and a pre-booked car saves the wait.
- For a family with a buggy and bags, choose an MPV or estate in the booking form.
Chessington's stations
Chessington North and Chessington South are the last two stops on the branch line that runs through Tolworth and Malden Manor to Waterloo. Trains are fine for central London, but they're slow if you need to get anywhere else. That's why we're often booked to take Chessington residents to Surbiton for faster trains, or straight to the London terminals.
Gatwick or Heathrow?
From Chessington, both airports are within easy reach. Heathrow is typically 35 to 50 minutes away, and Gatwick, heading south through Epsom towards the M25, is often similar. If you're choosing between flights, it's worth comparing both. See our Gatwick and Heathrow pages for more.
